Chief Ronald Applin is the chief of police at Atlanta Public Schools. He has served in this position for almost four years. He also serves as an adjunct professor at Reinhardt University. Prior to his service at APS, he was the director of security at Landmark Christian School, for nearly four years, was an adjunct professor at the University of Phoenix and taught law and justice at Creekside High School. Chief Applin earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice at Mercer University, and his master’s degree in public administration at Troy University. His PhD is currently in the dissertation process at Capella University.
